We love staying at La Bahia on Half Moon Bay Akumal. Condos are well appointed and only a short walk to the best restaurants. Plus, we can walk to Yal Ku Lagoon and Akumal Bay for more shops and dining options.
I stayed here about 7 years ago and I'm sure it's changed much but it was an amazing and authentic Mexican experience. So much culture with less tourism. I imagine there is more of that now, but this was a great place to stay with gorgeous architecture.
Stayed for a week in June. Right on the half moon beach with great views. Our condo was nicely maintained.
Can't say enough about how nice and clean the facility was, the room was excellent views were Fantastic!! Definitely coming back, highly recommend the stay, close to alot of amenities, people are very nice and willing to help.
I loved my experience at La Bahia, and highly recommend staying there. The staff were professional and friendly, the rooms very clean and unique, and the views spectacular. We can't wait to return.
I booked via Akumal Direct and we have La Bahia Unit 1.....and we loved it!!!! Just avoid the sargassum season. We were there during Spring Break and sargassum was plenty. Not a deal breaker as we ended up cycling down the street to the Akumal beach and the Yalku Lagood to snorkel (which is a good 10 mins leisure bike ride). We loved: 1. Beachfront location- amazing view 2. Washing Machine and dryer 3. High speed internet. We used their Roku watching Viki. Husband worked remotely- no issues. Although, my son complained that it kept dropping in his room. 4. Concierge David and the team- so prompt and professional 5. Staff in the condo itself. From the two adorable staff who welcomed us when we arrived, to the office manager who allowed us to rent bicycles for $8/day, to the cleaning lady ....everyone is so willing to assist. We loved this unit!!!
Wonderful condos. Rocky beach, bring watershoes ideally. Can get in w flippers. Great snorkeling in the bay. Great services in be bay.
